Predators suck. It was tied 3-3 going into the 3rd period. 8-3 right now to Edmonton Oilers.

4 goals, 5 pts for Draisaitl. 5 pts for McDavid.
Although I'm pretty sure I would have actually been more capable than Rinne in goal...

Poile said when he fired Laviolette that the problem was the players. He was right.

Hynes is only the 3rd head coach the Predators have had in 21 years. The Flyers had 5 head coaches in a 5-year span in the late 90s-early 2000s--Cashman, Neilson, Ramsay, Barber and Hitchcock.

Islanders stink and they'll likely still back into the playoffs.

Bruins and Lightning in a doozy with Bruins up 2-1 with 2 and change left.

Could be a precursor to the ECF.

Isles will be bounced early. Quick and painless.

Agreed. They simply do not have enough offense to sustain the Trotz trap that they employ.

Besides that, their goaltending isn't as good as it needs to be in a Trotz system as well.

I'd be shocked if they won a round if they even make it which still isn't a sure thing tho as I said, I think they'll back in because I dont' think we are ready to take that next step yet especially with the loss of Kreider and Igor.

Had those unfortunate circumstances not occurred, we might have been able to sneak in...not now tho!

Ugh.

Boychuk has had an interesting career.

Once seen as a potential first round pick, he went in the second round of 2002. It took him until his D+5 season to get a taste of NHL action, and he didn't become a regular until his D+7 season.

But he's since enjoyed a 10 year career and played over 700 games --- and only with two teams since becoming a regular.
