He's a UFA next year. IF Buffalo can't sign him it becomes a terrible deal for Buffalo. IF they can sign him to an extension, it becomes a great deal for Buffalo.

Doubt they'd get less than that at the deadline if they can't sign him. Good deal for them.

He's as one-dimensional as anyone in the league, but he's really good at his dimension. This is like a free tryout for Buffalo.

It's the equivalent to a preseason game for world juniors. Nobody in attendance but scouts so little emotion.

Hayton playing with MacKenzie Entwhistle. He seems to be auditioning for that 3C/4C shutdown role.
