Crazy to think that in a week where we saw the NHL's first ever "Lacrosse goal" by Svechnikov, Tkachuk ,IMO at least, tops it with this beauty. One-timed between the legs top corner. Sweet merciful.
No kidding. To me that was a thing of beauty.
The lacrosse goal? Nice trick but given that time and space there's a ton of NHL players who could do that. Dozens of players can get the stick to bend, then arc back trapping puck. Not saying it was not a neat trick -- or required skill. Just not the GOTT -- or whatever goofy description it had.
Bigger question is why the other team decided to let him have as much time as he wanted behind the net with no one even contemplating stopping him from coming out from behind the net -- lacrosse style, wrap around style, or whatever.
