Danny Dekeyser + cond 2020 2nd for cond 2020 1st, Lucic and Puljujarvi. Condition: if Edmonton misses the playoffs this year the pick swap moves to next year. So 2021 2nd for 2021 1st at which point it's completely unprotected.

They get a decent defensive defenseman that Holland knows and can contribute now. We take on Lucic's contract but it's only 1 mil more and 1 year longer than DK's. We get Puljujarvi and to upgrade a 2nd to a 1st. What say you, HFWings?

My personal evaluation is this:
Based on offensive ability alone Risto is a mediocre 2nd pairing D + PP specialist. Defensively he certainly seems to have his issues, but he's been the 1D on a horrible team (not that we're much different) his whole career-it's possible with a change of scenery he goes from an elite offensive D to just a good top pairing guy. Even as he is now he's worth AA and if he can perform better on a new team, then even a significant cost like AA + Veleno is a steal

Nothing. He's terrible defensively. He's not worth pursuing.

AA+Veleno is absolutely not a steal, you're severely overrating Ristolainen.
