Washington and Tampa are playing hockey at a level that Toronto just doesn’t even understand.

It was a great game.

Yes, it looked like a different league. I hope they face each other again in the playoffs.

It looks like a Western Conference heaviness mixed with Eastern Conference skill. There were a lot of turnovers and mistakes but everyone was playing at a 110% pace, throwing their bodies into every loose puck battle, recovery etc. Even cross ice passes between D partners were rifled with violence, etc. Leafs need to add quite a bit of athleticism, mature physically as a core and develop a sour taste from losing to get to this level.

Yes, it was a little sloppy at times but there was some really good saves. Especially by Vas in the third.

Are the Caps the 2nd best team in the east? NHL? They sure looked like it last night.

Just behind the Leafs.

They’re ahead of the Leafs in the standings....I think TB and the Caps are a step better than the Bruins and Penguins and a couple better than the Leafs, NYI,CBJ and Carolina.

If Boston loses tonight in regulation, maybe a slight window opens again. If Leafs go on a tear, they can still catch them. Very importable, I know, but until it is mathematically impossible gotta keep hoping.

Whodda thunk in October that the Coyotes Panthers game tonight would be one to keep an eye on.

Let’s go Canes, CBJ, Isles and Pens get a point in an OT loss.

Another night of NHL and another night of teammates sticking up for one another. Gourde with a head shot on Staal.

There shouldn't be this many inter conference games this late in the season. If the NHL is going to go with the divisional playoffs, then they should play within the division more. Personally, I don't need to see every single Western team twice. I really don't. It's a joke that we don't get to play Boston, for example, at all down the stretch. How does that make sense when you have this divisional format? Why is it necessary for the Leafs to play Nashville in March? Like why?

The ****ing Isles just won't do the Leafs any favors. **** them.

And the Canes are leading in the 3rd against the Bolts.

Even if the Habs win there still 8 points back with 8 games to play

They aren't an issue

Isles are playing Montreal. What has that got to do with the Leafs.

Hurts to see the bruins having basically clinched 2nd place with 8 games left. The leafs crapped the bed for way too long this year and the bruins turned it on and became a elite team. Now we will be starting the series at the TD Garden.

Growing pains, but yes it sucks since we know they are better then what they have showed over the past few months.

Preds are really struggling to score. D is big in the playoffs but it’s nice to score every now and then
