Babcock should tell the boys to just fire the puck at the net as much as possible instead of working hard and grinding out goals like they have been doing?

If you’re averaging 6 shots a period, and are “grinding”,... then dear lord I’d hate to see this team when it isn’t “grinding”.

Columbus Blue Jackets goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky will not be with the team for tonight's game vs. the Nashville Predators, club General Manager Jarmo Kekalainen announced today.

"There are certain expectations and values that we have established for our players that define our culture," said Kekalainen. "An incident occurred in which Sergei failed to meet those expectations and values, so we made the decision that he would not be with the team for tonight's game. This is an internal matter and we will have no further comment at this time."

Rick Nash could've signed a contract with several teams this past summer and saddled a team with a big salary expense. It's nice to see a pro athlete have some honour.

NHL tests player-tracking technology that could...

I'm excited for these little technology things to possibly give us even more info during the game.

"
The San Jose Sharks topped the Golden Knights 3-2 Thursday night at T-Mobile Arena, and while the action between the division rivals was riveting, the most impressive part of the game was invisible to the thousands watching.
It was hidden inside the rubber of the pucks, and within the thread of each player’s shoulder pads, safely concealed by their sweater.
This week microchips were implanted and tracked live during a regular season game for the first time in NHL history. The tracking system was first tested in Tuesday’s game between the Golden Knights and Rangers, and Thursday the NHL granted The Athletic behind the scenes access to the infinite possibilities that come with this new form of tracking."

The Ducks Head Coach Randy "Kitty" Carlyle is a dead man walking with his team having lost 10 straight games to set a new club record.

I am waiting with bated breath for GM Bob Murray to give him his walking papers for the second time. With his Ducks playing the heavily favoured Winnipeg Jets tomorrow afternoon, it would be a cruel fate to let Randy go after the game in the city where he played for the original Jets and then coached the Manitoba Moose.

Kucherov is having one hell of a season. 75 pts already. If he holds this season and gets to 140 pts The only players who had better peak than him would be gretz, orr and lemieux.

apparently Murray doesn't fire coaches mid season.
