Even though the Preds have 5 goals this game, Weber has yet to get a point so far this season. :biglaugh:

Make my day.
I would love to keep Malhotra next season if it was for the right price (850k), but I have a feeling that another team needing a faceoff specialist + 4th line center will overpay for him.

His probable departure next season will make room for Pinizzotto to finally get his chance (which he deserves).

I hope they find him an internal role in the organisation if he doesn't want to play on somewhere else. He'd be great just as faceoffs tutor/coach for the AHL guys, maybe a scouting role elsewhere in his spare time.

"Oilers defenseman Mark Fistric is also listed as day-to-day after he attempted a hit on Vancouver's Mason Raymond but missed and collided with the boards at his own blue line. Fistric left the game and did not return"

That was hilarious when it happened, though I think it was Schroeder not Raymond. Could be wrong though.

Hodgson loses a key faceoff, puck goes out of the zone and the Sabres take a bad penalty. There went the game...

This is why you need to win faceoffs.

PK goal, hard to pin it on Cody directly but he was just kind of floating around in slow motion constantly 2 steps to slow to do anything. Floats to the corner to help out but the puck is gone, floats after it all the way to Karlsson who uses the time to pick a corner on a screened goalie.

That 3-1 goal was all on Hodgson coughing up the puck under pressure.

4-1 same thing as the PK. Went in to help the board battle and just did nothing because he was to slow getting there.

OTOH 1st assist for Cody though on the Pominville goal though which is nice to see.

----------------

That pretty much sums up Hodgson's game at the moment. bi-polar depending on the end of the rink. He needs to work on his skating and effort level in his own end, the other end is fine.

It was before the penalty, when they were playing 6-on-5.
