Extra f*** Dave Rittich. Plays like Hasek against us then turns back into a pumpkin against another team.
They have probably the second best goalie in the division in Markstrom yet they elected to use Rittich in back to back nights, is Markstrom hurt or something because that move just doesn't make sense.

The Islanders stole our victory song?

He’s day to day apparently. They’ve ridden him a lot this season so I suppose it’s not much of a surprise.

Per Bert
Their backup is some undrafted 25 year old Russian who didn't do that great in the AHL last year since Markstrom is out.

Given how Rittich played in the last two games, despite playing last night, it probably made more sense to gamble on the hot hand

That makes sense, I though the reason why Markstrom didn't play last night was because of how well Rittich played against the Leafs on Monday.

One thing I notice right off watching Wpg/Mt, they're throwing passes all across the ice and the puck sticks flat. I don't think you can overstate what a complete fustercluck the ice in TO is. Does anyone in the media even mention this?

Carey Price is bad.

It's been that way for about 3 years now. Media will likely realize it by the time he's bought out, that he's riding the glory of one great and ~2 good seasons for the past 6-7 years.

Also, Shea Weber is basically Dion Phaneuf who the media decided to heap praise on. Man Mountain is basically a guy that can't skate anymore.

It's going to look really bad soon for the Habs. Anderson is the best of their worst contracts.

Price is a bad deal, Shea is terrible, Gallagher is a Hyman type player making 6M+, Anderson isn't even .5 PPG making 5.5M.

Careful that's the best team in Canada built by the gm of the year that you're talking about here!

It looks like Montreal and Calgary are both trying to give up that 4th playoff spot to each other, but now it looks like the Sens could easily sneak up and take it, they are only 7 points under the Habs now.

Habs went about this the wrong way. Anderson and Toffoli are adds you make to a core that’s already established. They don’t have that yet. They had promising pieces in Suzuki, Kotkaniemi, and Romanov, but they aren’t there yet. Price and Weber are both too old and can’t be key pieces on a Cup contender anymore.

The timing for them is all wrong. Price isn’t good and hasn’t been for a couple of years now, their centre core is weak, especially compared to other teams in this division, and their defence is overrated, it lacks mobility and puck movement ability.

Only 1 game but Habs didn't look bad at 5 on 5. Here is the problem though. They were a great 5 on 5 team under Julien, and what plagued them under Julien plagued them here. Their special teams got dominated and Price being awful

Jets PP stats
Corsi: 16-0
Scoring Chances: 8-0
High Danger: 3-0
