Does it ever pay off to play a goalie on back to back nights?

...not even taking into consideration that Dave faced like 45 shots last night?

Their backup is some undrafted 25 year old Russian who didn't do that great in the AHL last year since Markstrom is out.

Given how Rittich played in the last two games, despite playing last night, it probably made more sense to gamble on the hot hand.

I think its more about the Flames coming off getting skated into the ground by us and facing a more rested Ottawa team on a high of a two game winning streak and last change.

Prefect game to bet on. Ottawa can still give up a 4 spot very easily though so the Flames gotta keep playing here. Personally, I have 0% confidence in maybe the most disappointing offence in hockey this year though.

Rittich back to being less than good flames down 3-1 5 mins into second period...how do we always get the god mode of these freaking goalies

To be fair, not many goalies have gone God mode on us this year.

So, including tonight, 5 out of Calgary's next 6 games are against Ottawa .. if they can't pad some points and get into a playoff spot after this stretch that's some seriously bad news.

....and 18 of the Jets next 38 are against the Leafs/Habs. I thought we handled the Jets quite easily and if the Habs prove to have the Jets number as well, who knows? Maybe the Canucks might be able to get back into it.

Anderson hurt and out of the game for the Habs. Who knows how serious, but man alive he’s a good hockey player that simply cannot stay healthy.

Anthony Beauvillier picks the pocket of four Broons standing in front of the net and scores a beauty.

Amazing goal and so nice it happened to the Broons
