Yep, that's a pretty solid assessment of what happened - What's your point? That he should've given in to Domi's goading and gotten himself thrown into the penalty box, just like Domi wanted? The ref should've stepped in before a player had to take 4 unanswered shots to the face.

Ekblad wasn't worried about a getting a preseason penalty and Domi didn't want to goad Ekblad into a penalty lol ... Life lesson, dont let someone continuously punch you in the face and hope someone else stops it before you lose your teeth.

So why do you think Ekblad didn't do anything? Just 'cause he's a pushover?

Domi came away with a minor, a major, and a match penalty from the play - Why would Ekblad want to engage in those kinds of antics when he can simply not do anything and not worry about taking a stupid penalty? He obviously didn't want to fight, so he didn't engage - Any involvement on his behalf likely ends up in coincidental Roughing minors for the two of them, or with both of Domi's gloves on the ice.

Life lesson: How about not punching a guy who doesn't want to fight in the face 4 times?
