We’re done with the Cherry discussion here because you guys cannot act like adults or follow rules and directions. This is not up for debate. If you want to discuss it further go to the main board thread linked below, but be warned they also have rules and boundaries.

Don Cherry Fired

Anything else around the league (non-Devils) is fair game here.

It’s average for that time on ice and when you consider the talent of the team and his age it’s just meh not good not bad.

I thought we were beyond the +/- labels by now. Carter and kopitar were both -20 last year

Per Wyshynski:

Clearly, Ilya Kovalchuk and this season’s Los Angeles Kings are a bad fit. Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reports that the 36-year-old winder has been told he’ll be out the of lineup “for the foreseeable future.” He has one goal and two assists in his last 13 games. His 26.32 goals-for percentage at 5-on-5 is the worst on the Kings. He had a full no-move clause thanks to GM Rob Blake, but this is the kind of move that no doubt entices a player to waive it.

He isn't useful enough offensively for them to justify him being in the lineup. He's not useful in other areas if he's not scoring. They want to move on.

-36 in 81 games is pretty freaking bad though. Especially when you have 43 points, and the point production's fallen off a cliff since early last year.

People are going to remember kovy for leaving us high and dry and then coming back as a shell of himself, not the guy that was dominant for a decade in Atlanta
