Virtue signalling happens on all sides of the political spectrum, it's just that this one is particularly "in your face" example of it.

The original virtue signal is one of the greatest drivers of right wing voting in the USA. Lots of really really horrible people that use that particular virtue signal to feel better about how terrible they are to their fellow man. And was nice to see them take a big blow from the USA supreme court just now.

In any case, definitely would file this under the green-washing category for Amazon. Bezos is no angel. Still an interesting idea, to be 100% solar powered for hockey games at night through the winter. Hope it's not true that people will be encouraged to bring in their rain water to help out, because there definitely will be a lot of pee in the ice if that's the case :)

I would think they will just recycle the urine straight from the bathrooms for the ice. A good filtration system will make it drinkable again for their $9 bottled water as well.

For f*** sakes Seattle, give us a name

Maybe they'll just kick it old-school CFL style and go with the "Seattle NHL'ers" like Baltimore did with the Stallions, before they became the Stallions and had no name for a while because they were forced to drop "Colts" so they were loosely called "CFL'ers".

What a shit show...but on the field, the Stallions were unstoppable in '95.

.
