Perhaps I'm overlooking the specific point, but that's a true statement of picks 1-8.

PickChance To Remain at PickChance to Drop

1385.57.9
1491.83.2

Edit: Ah, I think I see, now. I think this regards the comment in the closed thread by @BenedictGomez regarding picks 1-7 where you are greater than 50% more likely to drop at least one place than to stay the same or improve.

Everyone's got a higher chance of dropping than moving up. Same reason you've got way more of a chance of losing than winning the Mega Millions. It is what it is. Having two top 15 picks will go a huge way as long as we aren't taking the Tedenbys, Josefsons, McLeods of the world.

Arthur Staple was just on NHL Network and did not have anything good to say about the Barzal situation involving his next contract as well as his affinity (or lack thereof) for the Trotz’ system

Boy oh boy is Lou in some trouble. And while I hate the Islanders I do feel somewhat bad for the fans

I know Tampa will say he’s bringing more, and he does buuuuuuuut, Coleman has 1 point in 9 games.
It’s disappointing for sure but his performance up to this point doesn’t mean a whole lot. He’s on a top contender, everything is about the playoffs.

It’s pretty wild that the Kings will most likely pass the Sharks so the Senators will end up with the 1sts of the teams in the 29th and 30th spots. The Isles pick is lottery protected so Ottawa can’t actually win all three lottery spots.

I’m not rooting against the Devils but I’m rooting hard for the Sabres and Ducks because we still have a chance at the 5th loser spot.

It’s hard to see the Arizona dropping below 10th. The Blackhawks should win tonight but they aren’t playing any better then the Coyotes are right now.

Not to be pedantic but the #14 and #15 teams have a better chance of moving up than dropping. But every one else, yes, that's true.

Not here. Obnoxious is about the best thing I can say about them. I want Lou to run that franchise right into the ground.

I dislike the Isles too, the Tavares situation really pissed me off and I did feel bad for their fans after he dragged them along and begged not to be traded. This situation isn't nearly as bad, since Barzal is an RFA, and they can surely get a hefty return for him.

What’s the issue with Barzel? I don’t understand what the supposed problem is.

He got spoiled by the $15mil Weight system where you never play defense.

He just sounds like he doesn't like playing in the tight Trotz system and wants out. He's an RFA so he doesn't have much of a choice other than demanding a trade.

Looks like Columbus is the first team to start playing in empty arenas (I think the Sharks just moved/canceled their games outright).

I’ve never heard of a young RFA star holding out for anything other than more money. I won’t believe any rumor like this until it becomes public while he’s actually holding out. It just doesn’t happen.

I like Barzel as a player but I wouldn’t even remotely want a 22 year old who demanded to be traded because he doesn’t want to be coached by Barry Trotz. Trotz has an impeccable reputation as a player’s coach and tactician with a ton of experience and success.

Barzel’s has two NHL coaches in his short career but Barry Trotz of all people isn’t acceptable to him? If this is somehow actually true then I’d rather have Zacha.

Well it could be worse, Nas could scratch Zajac and make him play his 1000th on the road the way Ftorek did with Dano.

Welp now that the NBA's on total hiatus the NHL's on the clock whether anyone tests positive or not.
