the Leafs are playing the kings. who the Leafs have in net won't matter. we aren't talking about an offensive juggernaut in the Kings.

It might matter against the Penguins. Or if Sparks goes down and they have to play their ECHL call up. But Andersen could be back by then.

Well I'm just going to stop mocking the Leafs for awhile lol

Senators doing us a nice favour tonight, they have been surprisingly competitive. Getting rid of locker room drama and some young talent has helped them a lot.

The year is 2018. Arizona is still exploring new avenues of being unable to catch one f***ing break.

Yes, you're reading that right. Shooting zero percentage at 5v5.

It is as if we had lost someone very important w/r/t keeping our xGA down...
Well Enstrom wasn't doing it all by himself...but without him and with Buff hurt, ooof. Maybe Trouba-Morrissey needs to be split up to each carry a weak sister in these difficult times.

That's an idea, but my concern would be: would you then match up one of Trouba/Morrissey + one of the cannon fodder against a line like McDavid's line? Does that make it worse if you can't try to do something to shelter against that, at least at home?

The real solution is for Buff to get his ass back into the line-up. Interesting thought, but not sure how it would turn out in practice.

Jets xGF% 3rd worst in the league? Yikes...

Last season, the Jets struggled early in CF%, but were fairly good at protecting the high danger areas around their own net. Without Enstrom, with Chiarot in a main role, and with Myers and Kulikov flailing in their own zone, they have lost all semblance of structure around their own net.

The D pairs just aren't working, and the Jets' forwards all think they are going to score 40-50. Maurice needs to get their attention quickly and turn this around. First, he needs to sit a D or two, and he needs to break up Scheifele and Wheeler and let them know that they need to work as hard on D as they do on offense.
