I agree that it is a good opportunity to see what we have depth wise. I dunno though, guys get injured in practice all the time too, should we hold them out of that as well?

I am all for protecting guys from injury but.. really? I don't like that teams do this at all. Icing an AHL D pretty much.

If it weren't the second half of a back to back, I'd tend to agree.

Back-to-back against a team that plays up chippy.
Sitting the top 4 and Chucky was the right move here. Get all emotion out of this one, go out and just play a meaningless game. Let Gaudreau try to get to 100; get BSD some reps. Keep that top line chugging along. Get some of the D that's been sitting for a while some reps.

I mean you make a fair point, but that would be the worst D-core in the NHL I am fairly confident.

Even then, difficult to say what Kylington/Valimaki/Andersson would do with expanded roles over a full season. With our offense, maybe they’d be studs
