Back to back playoff appearances is a good thing. Literally there is no negative to it. However, management said the goal is to win the Stanley Cup. They didn't win a round. By their own standards its a failure.

On the other spectrum, Colorado way over achieved and probably didn't expect to contend for a playoff spot, let alone win 2 games against the #1 seed in the league. They didn't have a failure of a year because they had no expectations. We have expectations (as do they, now), thus our season was a disappointment.

Would you have preferred they say their goal is to merely win a series? Every team's goal is to win the Cup.

It'd be nice to see the number of PPs WASH got vs. each team as well. I certainly don't blame Bob (or any of these goalies for that matter) for the losses. But that PP shot number scares me in that they either had more PP vs. us (bad) or we blocked less shots and didn't limit chances as well as others (bad).

I ventured into the mains a few days ago and was scared back seeing how much Toronto fans and San Jose fans were arguing about Tavares. Anyone would be on edge dealing with those fans.
