Ah, thanks for the heads up! That sounds very promising.

One of our forwards has been complaining of having what he calls a "little ball of hate", it actually may have been around the knee area.

I'll pass along your note and make sure that Mr. Verbeek pays Doctor...Kaspar, was it? I'll see that he pays him a nice little visit so they can mull it over together.

That sounds like a terrible condition.

Does one get that way by getting a Foote in the mouth over and over again?

Quarantine Zone 5
This series got off to a weird start. In an unprecedented move, the league decide to change Game 1 from a hockey game to a "Yo Mama" competition. It was a fierce, back and forth affair until Brad Marchand decided to destroy 5 consecutive Jacks players. This gave the KIRKs a comfortable lead and were cruising, until the final sequence found Jacks player standing, Gary Roberts, dismantle the remaining 6 KIRKs players by simply staring into their souls and causing each one to weep uncontrollably. Lindros was heard between massive sobs muttering about his "inadequate training regimen." Game one went to the Jacks.

Game Two got things back on track in a hockey sense. Pre-game is was decided to hold Gary Roberts out until the UN could rule on his use being allowed under the Geneva Convention. Crosby decided to eat everyone's lunch after being humiliated in "Game One". He potted a hat trick and a helper, on a Adam Foote goal, to have a hand in all 4 KIRKs goals. Benn and Gurein were able to slide a goal each home, but it wasn't enough to keep the series from going to 1-1.

Game Three found the Jacks using their last change to match top line against top line, which helped slow Sid down. Sid was sent briefly to the locker room after a big hit from Orpik. The following shift saw Kaspar return the favor by sending Tikkanen into the Dark Room for evaluation, following a lengthy on ice scrum. After everything was sorted out we saw 2 minutes of flying 4-on-4 action that saw McJesus and Bondra put on a clinic in pond hockey, tallying a goal each and creating multiple chances. If it wasn't for Hasek, there could have been another 2 goals at least. the Jacks clawed back a goal with a Verbeek goal off a Mike Green rebound, but that was the last of the scoring and excitement. KIRKs up 2-1.

Game 4 saw more of the same from the previous game. Orpik and Kaspar took turns giving out big hits. Then it happened, the moment everyone was waiting for. Lindros came across the blueline trying to fish a LeClair pass from his feet and BOOM. Scott Stevens struck. To be exact he struck Lindros' head and earned him self a 5 minute targeting major and a game misconduct. Lindros was helped to the locker room and missed the rest of the 1st period and all of the 2nd, but returned for the 3rd. The resulting 5 minute power play saw Brian Leetch run a masterful powerplay, peppering Hasek with bomb after bomb, but Hasek stood tall. However, Leetch didn't forget to pass as well. He pump faked a point shot, got defenders to commit and slid a pass to Kurri who buried it into an open net. Leetch then found Crosby for a one timer that got under Hasek's arm. And for good measure he found Renberg streaking down the weak side for a tap in. The KIRKS weren't able to really capitalize on the Stevens ejection for the rest of the night. Iginla tried for the Gordie Howe with a goal and a fight and Gilmore and Verbeek hooked up on a 2-on-1 to show the Jacks weren't dead yet. They were killed shortly after, though, when late in the 3rd, the Legion of Doom caught the Jacks' defense in an ill-timed line change and passed around a recovering Hatcher and spun Hasek into the ice for a LeClair goal.

Game 5 had the Jacks come out swinging for their lives. Rafalski and Gilmore tallied early and showed there was fight left. Sid got one back before the 1st period horn. The intermission didn't kill the Jacks' fire, though. Their top line came out and Thornton put two goal on a platter for for Iginla to stretch the lead to three. Marchand decided to try to quell the fire by invading Hasek's crease and starting another brew-ha-ha. On the resulting powerplay, Hank Zetterberg picked off a D-to-D pass and went down the ice for a shorty. This seemed to quiet the Jacks' frenzy. Doughty got on the score sheet with a seeing eye shot to pull within one. The LOD line struck again for a goal, this time feeding Lindros. With the game tied, Mike Green made the mistake to seal the deal... puck over the glass in the defensive zone. The KIRKs powerplay did not waste this golden opportunity. A Josi shot plays pinball and ends up on the stick of McDavid who promptly buries it.

Kinky KIRKS advace 4-1

I feel kind of bad now.

I’d share my winnings with you, but uh... I think someone stole it.
