In 2009 they ran a shuttle from Gila River casino (the old Wild Horse Pass one, before the current one but after the big white tent one) that we took advantage of once. It is a nice thing to have, although there are just soooo many different places that need to have it available to make it convenient enough for enough people to make a difference. The price of sprawl, I suppose.

Any other sth's get a random "we just wanna say hi and thank you" phone call like I just got this afternoon?

Sturgill Simpson, Nathaniel Rateliff, Brittany Howard, Joe Purdy and Marcus Mumford need to get together for a collaboration, like Mumford did for the New Basement Tapes. It would be the album of albums.

Anyone been to one of these before? Sounds like fun. West Valley's first Topgolf planned in Glendale

There is one about a 1/2 mile from my house in Gilbert on Ray Rd. It's way fun. Food is surprisingly good. Booze selection is very good. The prices are pretty outrageous for the golfing. For my family it's expensive enough that we only do it a few times per year despite being right next door.

Quite the communications outage in northern Arizona today, apparently. Around noon at work, I noticed my Verizon phone had no service, and the internet at work was out (I had to complete all my patient charting by hand, which... well, wasn't so bad, but a little more time-consuming than doing it electronically). The internet at the high school where my mom teaches had also been completely out since about that time. She also told me that nobody had cell reception through any carrier. I got home at about 5 p.m. and my internet (via CenturyLink, i.e. about the only halfway decent option in the Payson area) was out. Not sure if my cell service was back since I don't get reception at home anyway. Land line telephone service (necessary when you don't get cell service at your house, otherwise I wouldn't bother) was working just fine. Called a friend in Phoenix around 8 p.m. and asked him to Google some stuff for me; apparently CenturyLink and Verizon were having major outages across most of northern Arizona. Didn't ask or do my due diligence on other wireless carriers, so I'm still curious why essentially all communications to my **** town of Payson were essentially out for hours.

My home internet finally came back at about 10:30 tonight, though.

The horror! J/K, I think it was a N. Korean cyber attack.

During the last big storm through Phoenix, Cox went down for about an hour. Since it's been back I've suffered frequent internet disruptions.

I was in the East Valley today around this time and also had downtime with my Verizon phone and internet. It was spotty, on and off for a little bit. I thought it was weird at the time, but it may have been related.

I can't believe how good Teacher's Highland Scotch is for $16 a fifth. Shockingly good. Better than the vast majority of Scotch I've had that's twice the price.

Speaking of coverage, anyone have tmobile in the Avondale area? I had it 4 years ago and switched because the coverage was terrible, I'm curious if they've improved it at all.

Oh yeah, just got my ticket for the game in Vegas.

I'll be there as well. I'm gonna try to catch both the Ducks and Coyotes home openers too. My hockey flight/road trip for the year.

I usually see the team at the end of the season during their Florida swing so I'm looking forward to experiencing them as pure potential as opposed to playoff long shots (February) /bottom third of the league (March) :)

So did I **** something up on my end or did the boards here actually get more narrow?

I can't keep my login on my iPhone most of the time.

They're fixing to move to a new platform. So expect a few weird things to happen now and then.

(and always trust your local reptilian sock puppet :D )
