Last week there were Oiler tickets going for $7 on StubHub. That's cheaper than what a beer costs at Rexall.

I have a good job and make good money but there is no way I would be able to pay the price for season ticket at the bell center.
The cheapest seat are 90$ and you cannot even see the player numbers from that spot.
I sometime envy these small markets.

Those are the nose bleed seats in Edmonton.

And besides, people are having a hard time giving away tickets.

Why waste your time on a weekday night to see a team lose?

And this isn't the team selling the tickets that cheap, they still get the face value price. The poor saps who bought up a bunch of tickets to re-sell them are taking a huge hit right now.

This just in - losing hockey isn't fun to watch. Especially when you lose in soul-sucking manner like the Oilers and Coyotes.

You can buy tickets for tonight's Sharks game for as low as $12.50.

If teams don't play well fans tend to respond regardless of where you are located.

The Blackhawks were almost dead last in attendance for 10+ years until they started winning again. Look at them now.

I would say Chicago has a better pool of fans to pull from than AZ & FL, but when EDM starts winning again that place will be just as annoying as it was in 2006.
