It’s funny, Coyotes and Canes fans are completely fine with this trade, and understand fully just how inconsequential it truly is. Neither fan base has anything remotely approaching strong feelings about this deal. It’s outside fans that are rushing in to declare a winner or say one side or the other got hosed or is stupid, etc. Anything inflammatory in this thread is from passers by.

It’s like dejavu from the Toby Rieder for Darcy Kuemper trade. Coyotes fans were like “nice, we needed a better backup and Toby is definitely not a fit anymore”. Kings fans were like “nice, no room for Darcy and maybe Toby can turn it around here, or whatever”. Outside fans were like “ZOMG!!!!!ROFLCopter!!!! Chayka nerd boy so dumb with stupid spreadsheets!!!
