While toronto has large potential to become a dynasty and the rebuild has been overwhelmingly sucessful, Toronto hasn't accomplished anything yet.

That said, Vancouver just doesn't have the elite pieces Toronto has
Pettersson, Boeser, Horvat, Hughes aren’t far off of Matthews, Marner, Nylander, Rielly

The Canucks are on pace for less than 82 points. They just play in a dogshit conference right now that makes it seem like they are a good team.

The Canucks are having a near identical season to their horrible record last year (bottom 4 spot ruined by a win streak in the last 12 games too), the only difference is that the entire Western Conference from Wild Card spot out is doing just as bad.

Our defence is absolutely pathetic after our top pairing, though Hutton and Stecher are showing some promise. Elias Pettersson and Jacob Markstrom have won us too many games by sheer will alone for us to be in any sort of serious playoff consideration, the rest of the team just can't get it done.

Relative to expectations, Canucks are doing much better than last season. Coming in to this season the Canucks were predicted to finish last by many fans and the media.

If we get a top 3 pick this year, yes probably.

Hopefully we don't try to take any short cuts by overpaying free agents and ****ing the cap situation.. like the Leafs did.
Yup, the leafs sure messed up by signing an elite number 1 centre.....should've saved that money for 3rd/4th liners, those are the guys who win cups!

I wonder if all these 1st round jokes would still be tossed around like they are if the Leafs had of missed the playoffs....like they were expected to two years ago and then last year was the first year getting in and we are in the same situation today. We are 2 and half years off of picking first overall and the best people can come up with is that we have lost two playoff series against really good teams? The horror....If only we were Buffalo.

No, the Canucks have no quality depth. The youngsters are solid, but not trading veterans for picks over the last few years for picks has saddled us with the likes of Gudbranson, Sutter, and Erickson - 14.5 million per year for players playing at below replacement level.

Since you didn't specify "had", I'm sure the Nucks would love to have 13 Cups.
I'm sure your fanbase would too.
lol last time they won a cup you where probably 30 years away from even being born. not that impressive. the carolina hurricanes have more cups than toronto in the past 50 years.

Fighting for a wild card spot one year removed from the basement of NHL led by a new face of their franchise.

Do you see the Canucks following in the footsteps of the Leafs' Shannyplan and becoming a dynasty for years to come?

We are not a dynasty though. Sure, we have a good team right now.
