Speculation: Are Panthers sellers this season?

Dadonov likely won't be going anywhere since he's one of the major reasons that the Breadman would sign in S FL. And don't expect Huby to go anywhere for a long time or Hoffman to go anywhere until next year's TDL and only if he has unattainable contract demands.

Brass and Sheahan are likely outward bound for picks and prospects. Same with Brouwer and Kiselevich. If they can find someone to take on Reimer, he's likely gone as well. Jussi Jokinen's buyout also comes off the books after this season as well.

They have the cap room to sign both Bread and Bob once the above contracts come off the books with the expected increase to $83MM.

Why do people think Huberdeau will be traded for picks/prospects?

Huberdeau is only on the table if it's to improve the team now(panarin/Bob/top 4 damn). And even them I really doubt he goes unless Tallon doesn't think there's a good chance at Panarin signing here without giving up Huberdeau.

I see them moving Brassard, Sheahan, and Hoffman. They could use some of those assets to move one of Riemer/Luongo to a different team and open up a spot for Bob. Not a full sell of though. They’ve got a solid young core, just need a few more additions.

because people on HF don't want to trade quality for quality. Most people live in a NHL19 bubble where they can get all the best players in the NHL for quantity.

You only do a quality for quantity deal under a couple of scenarios.

Due to free agency where you won’t sign your guy so you are selling him off.

Either party, team or player wants a trade but involves a NTC. Rarely do those requests end up quality for quality.

And possibly the team is looking to rebuild and thus is looking for a package.
