I end up making one of these threads every year, and it's that time again:
Rather than re-state the reasons and logic and whatnot since it's getting kind of stale, the gist of the message is this:
HF does not tolerate April Fool's prank threads or posts. If you make a joke thread or joke post to try and pass along a fake headline or whatever as part of an April Fool's prank, you will receive an infraction. This is your only warning on the matter.
The only type of April Fool's content that's OK is links or rundowns of jokes or pranks carried out by other parties like the Sharks themselves, the media, the NHL, etc. And if you post these, you must make it abundantly clear in the post that the links you are providing are of an April Fool's joke nature.
Sorry, there are no exceptions to this rule. But on the upside it is only once per year and most of the time in the last several years we've been pretty good about no one trying to ignore said rule.
