Well... big money depends on how many people we get, but we're at 12 entrants so far, so $1200 in prize money right now.

We will be running a live online draft on OfficePools tomorrow night at 9:00pm EST so you have to be by your computer. We will randomize the selection order and it will be a snake draft so the person who picks first in round 1 will pick last in round 2 and so on.

There will be 18 rounds:

- 13 forwards
- 3 defensemen
- 2 goalies

If we have a lot of entrants, we may make changes to the above by reducing it to 11 forwards.

The point scoring is simple -

Forwards/Defense get 1 point for each goal and 1 point for each assist. There are no other points involved.
Goalies get 2 points for a win and an extra point if it is a shutout win. In the case of a shootout loss, they still get 1 point for making it to overtime. They also get a point if they score a goal or assist on one.

At the mid-point of the season, there will be a draft to add 1 player (a free agent) to your roster and the order is going to be in reverse order of the standings, so the guy in last place at the middle of the season will get to pick first. This makes the pool a little more interesting as we go along and gives those who are tanking at the first half of the season a chance to have a better second half. The points you pickup from your free agent will only be those points he gets from that date forward. At the end of the season, we will also be dropping the lowest player from our point totals.

That’s about it for scoring and how it works.

The entry fee is $100 (CDN) and right now we have 12 guys, so the typical pay out at the end of season would be 1st place $800, 2nd place $300, 3rd place $100. There is a $20 fee for OfficePools and that’s deducted fro the first place winner. The more guys, the more money there is.

If you would like in, let me know your email address and I will send you an invite so you can create your team name.

The draft will be tomorrow night at 9pm and you can do it online from home or on your smart phone.
