If he really was healthy he would have signed a contract somewhere to get back in shape and be ready for the season, even if it's in the ECHL.

so he`s going to sign on with an ECHL team and have some pilon like a Sestito try and make a name for himself risking his health?? Sorry, there`s about 600 other NHL`ers currently playing nowhere professionally right now, something tells me they are taking necessary steps to keep in shape

I can't buy into the fact that just because Horton hasn't signed a deal in Europe means he's still not well enough to play. He's a young guy, husband, and a fairly new dad. Not to mention he's probably sitting on a pretty decent nest egg. I can definitely picture him sitting at home chasing his kid around rather than playing hockey in Europe. No, he's not tied to Boston, but wherever he IS tied to, that's home to him and more importantly it's home to his kid.

I was thinking of the Cam Neely method of not settling down until the on-ice career is over. Though I'm sure no one can focus on hockey alone.

He did play Sea-bass, however....

Unlike the guy in the quote, I know Cam didn't completely forsake women.

For starters the guy's nickname was "Bone".

Yeah, I know.

What I'm getting at is that he never had any of the full time attention, responsiblities or emotional stuff that often goes into a serious relationship.

For some guys l think they would rather focus on the game and being unattached to much else. I don't think that means they don't get the ladies.

I think I'd rather see young guys who go out go the Marchand route of dancing around like a clown than to do what Lucic did--throwing shoes around the street and screaming because he's emotional.

anyway...how the f am I on this topic.

Personally I blame Xavi Hernandez of Barcelona, or my accompanying soap comment. Remember what Mickey from Rocky said, "Womens are bad for the legs, Rock!". Apparently Mickey wasn't too observant. As he somehow didn't notice Adrian could have been on the back of viagra bottles to counteract unwanted side effects in an emergency. I guess Mickey didn't go in the pet shop. Then again, how did Rocky's doctors neglect to diagnose him w/ irreversible dain bramage all the way up until Rocky V? Philly...

Thing w/ Looch is, if he comes to work cranky, it's win/win! Can you imagine if Cam was even crankier? Look out!

I'll take any distraction right now. ;)

Yeah, we need the Bruins back. I'm just trying to stay patient.
