Alright, so I just wanted to bring this up for discussion, and I think it's something that shouldn't happen.

Anthony Peters of the Mississuaga St.Michaels Majors had a 10-2-1 record, but he was released because they had too many 20 year olds after the deadline. So, I just did a search on him, to find that he has signed with a Junior B team.

I just wanted to bring this up because I find it really weird that he can play well, be released, and he doesnt find anything in Junior A, let alone Major Junior.

    Anyone have any thoughts?

What Jr B program is he playing for? A lot of Jr B programs are better then Jr A.

Also, Im sure he is in school.

Playing for a team close to school was #1 im sure, he has nothing left to prove, and will get schooling on the OHL.

Im sure he decided to do whatever he wanted, and it was his choice.

Unless you have first hand knowledge, id suspect he is quite happy where he is, and probably turned down Jr A invites.

Also, as a player who played in the OHL, he would have taken up 2 OHF cards, not just one. Im sure that was not an issue thou.

I dont know if he's happy or not or whatever, I just found it odd he wouldn't want to play somewhere at a higher level. He plays in the Midwest Junior B league in the OHA, for the Lowistel (?) Cyclones I think.

I'd imagine he'd end up a good CIS goalie and get his degree.

Although, I would be extremely surprise if no team in the CHL at least inquired about the guy.

Hes from the area. He went home to play then, probably living at home too.

    No doubt his choice.

Alright thanks for that, that makes sense. Again, just found it odd he wouldn't be staying somewhere in the CHL.

CHL rosters are frozen. No more 90's can be added. Bad timing for him, but im sure hes fine with it, and knew the score from the start of the season.

A lot of tough breaks for the guy. Broke his leg crossing a street when he played in Kingston, then gets moved around and ends up with a team going to the Mem. Cup only to get squeezed out at the deadline. Hopefully he can use his years in the O to his advantage for schooling.
