Probably wouldn't give up anything more than 10th overall

Probably no agreement here for red wings fans.

Mantha hasn't done much on the resume to warrant more than the 10th OA, at the same time, he has room to still be a lot more than the 24g, 48p career highs he's had to date

Wings had 2 players with more than 16 goals this year. They were patient with Mantha so I dont see them trading him when he finally had a good NHL season with a team high 24 goals.

Wings are in a transition period and really only have Larkin and Mantha as guys up front to build around (with prospects on their way) would be silly for them to dump him now to restart a prospect project.

He's just not on the table barring considerable overpayment imo. He has consistent 30 goal potential and he's a big piece of Detroit's future. He's likely worth more to Wings than to you or another team. 10th overall is nice but really not that enticing considering the Wings already have 4 top 36 picks.

Moving Mantha would be pretty harsh for us to handle.

I mean we have almost nothing in terms of young assets.
We are full on rebuilding at this point And Larkin / Mantha should be young enough at 21 and 23 to be in our window in 3-4 years from now

There'd have to be a potential top pairing D available at pick #10, in which case EDM wouldn't trade the pick because they have the same need.

... So not happening.
