The Lakers will get AD, because they have the most to offer.

Nah - Boston has Tatum, Brown and a future Memphis pick ( top 6 protected in 2020 and totally unprotected in 2021 ) to offer. That being said - I hope Ainge doesn't pull the trigger on any kind of deal for AD because it will only be a 1-year rental.

So you can't even admit that LeBron and Paul are running things now ???? Enjoy your mediocrity for the next few seasons. :thumbu:

they're not. if that was the case then ty lue would've been named HC. if you paid any attention to basketball you'd know kurt rambis is the one calling the shots in LA

and lol @ your mediocrity comment. your sorry ass team is about to go into a rebuild so yeah, enjoy

We all know how Zion is gonna end up.

He will ask for a trade in the prime of his career just like their last two franchise players, CP3 and AD. Drew Brees seems to be the only star athlete that wants to stay there forever.

Because his team is good & has won a championship.

Pelicans have done sweet F all since they came to town. How do you expect tor retain talent when your team sucks? They were incredibly lucky to land AD right after trading Paul and still managed to screw it up.

Maybe with Zion 3rd times the charm?

Rich Paul represents close to 20 players (might be even more). Yea he's a longtime close friend of LeBron but he does have a lot of other clients to worry about. You don't see him steering every single one to LA, which is a market perfect for a top player like AD to expand his off court stuff.

If he and Bron were running the show then the Lakers would have signed Melo during the season & hired Lue/Juwan Howard.

I'm just looking forward to this ending so we can all move on. Hopefully it happens in the next week.

The Celtics part in all this is interesting. There's still an entire offseason to go and anything can happen like Kyrie staying, them trading for AD as a rental, acquiring Beal or some other all-star, etc. However, there's also a scenario where the Celtics, who are the team most people thought was in the best shape moving forward and possibly the next dynasty, become just another team in a hurry. Their dream was a Kyrie and AD pairing and again, anything can still happen but that seems unlikely. They passed on acquiring Kawhi, George, and Butler in part due to keeping the assets for AD and some other reasons. The Kings pick, which many people were banking on being a prime asset, is pretty much worse case scenario since it's the last lottery pick in a really bad draft. Now people are counting on the Grizzlies pick and there's no guarantee there either. It looks great right now but it's still top six protected next year and then unprotected in 2021. They're going to have two potential franchise cornerstones in Morant and Jackson Jr. along with whatever they get back for Conley and a ton of cap space so who knows where that pick ends up. Hayward returning to form next season will change things but if not then they have Tatum, Brown, and Smart, which isn't bad moving forward but it's a long way removed from being a championship contender.

not sure how i feel about the lakers wanting to keep kuzma over lonzo

kuzma is a good scorer but that's about it. scoring aside, lonzo is far better than kuzma at everything else. especially his defense which the lakers need desperately

I don't think you're getting a young all-star level player for the 4th pick in a three player draft so it'll be interesting to see who they target and what they have to attach on top of the pick. This all seems like a positive development for the Lakers though.

Best part of the Woj's report is that Griffin seems intent on making a trade prior to the draft, which means it could all be over in less than a week.
