(AP - Denver).

Devastation. Totally different game, but the exact same result has the Ducks heading home for games three and four trailing the Avalanche 2 games to none following another overtime loss. As opposed to game 1, where the Ducks fought back valiently to tie and force overtime, the normally reliable team D of the Ducks fell apart giving up a 2-0 lead in the third period.

The normally talkative Coach Tortorella went straight to the video room so GM Larsen was left to speak with the media. "Obviously we are very disappointed. This series should be tied at worst right now. I have the utmost faith in the players and coaches to right the ship in game three back home." When asked about the stuggling third line of Ott, Bourque, and Hejduk, Larsen said "yeah, they are not playing very well. However we do have lots of depth and can make some adjustments should Coach decide to do so".

The series has been incredible close, so it would be a surprise to not head back to Denver for game 5. The Ducks have been great at home this year and have dramatically improved on the road. Right now, it's one game at a time or else the feathers get plucked.

These plucky Ducks head back to Anaheim down three games to two, with their second consecutive victory. When asked for comment, GM Larsen said "we were surprised to see the Avs play their backup today. This might be a show of no respect for what this group could accomplish instead of going for the killshot. We are sure to see Elliot in game 6 and hope to see a similar result. Our team has fought hard to come back, now it's off to game 6. Hopefully we can see a game 7. Huge game for Kronwall with 28minutes and two points. He's off to the ice tub.
