I'm convinced that WWE refs could call better hockey games than NHL refs.

Just another ignored play(not missed, cuz this is directly involved in the play and is literally impossible to miss), because it would interfere with the refs' game-managing. Seems like it's getting worse and more obvious, by the game. Bush league.

Wasn't time to give them a penalty yet, so they didn't. What actually happens in the game doesn't really matter. They miss so many penalties that there's a plenty to pick and choose from when it's the right time, anyway.

Then 'missed' the blatant tripping on Raymond that would have given a full 1:59 minutes of a 5-on-3 for the Wings.

Make up calls shouldn't be necessary. They should just do their job.
They should, but they don’t. The Caps were on the other end of this one in Carolina last week when the refs didn’t call a blatant trip right in front of them on Carolina and then called Sandin for a phantom hook when the Carolina player actually tripped over the goalie. NHL refs have a hard job and unfortunately most do it poorly, or at best inconsistently.

Also, maybe I saw it incorrectly but I thought Raymond stepped on the stick in the play you’re talking about.

Spittin Chiclets had a retired NHL ref on their podcast and he said they dictate 'for the betterment' of the game and call make up calls. He didn't say it so bluntly like I summarized up in one sentence.

Tim Peel is the same guy who got fired for being caught on a hot mic telling a player he wanted to get a penalty on Nashville early in the period, so yeah, that checks out.

Yup. And the culture is still the same. He got caught and had to be the fall guy. He didn't get fired for rigging the game, he got fired for getting caught red handed rigging the game on live TV.

He was also the same one who took tequila shots with a reporter and then started talking about how he stage-managed games.

Also the same one who’s on probation with SafeSport because he cornered a couple of teenaged refs in their dressing room and screamed at them over the way they called a youth game.

TBH Tim Peel is kind of a dumbass.

I have one problem with your post. I would like you to remove the words "kind of" from your last sentence.

Other than that it is fine. Thank you.
