The kid tore it up last night. Four goals, four assists for Kitchener. Is he drafted or is this his year?

    It's Andre, not Andrew. :)

Yeah, him and Matt Lashoff had big games on Friday for Kitchener. Benoit with the 4 goals and 4 assist, while Lashoff had 4 assists.

His 8 points tied Bryan Fogarty's record for most points in one game by a d-man. Fogarty did it twice in 88-89.

Is Benoit still playing D for Kitchener? If he is, he could definitely put up some serious numbers. All kinds of talent, too bad he's so small. I think he'll find himself with a contrat after this season. I know he was at Leafs camp but was cut so I'm sure someone else will take a look at him. Especially considering he'll likely have a huge season this year.

The Kitchener site has him listed as 6' 195. Seems like room to grow into an adequately sized D-man. He's already a lot bigger than Greg Hawgood.

    No problem.

He's a solid defenceman. It's going to be interesting to see what kind of numbers he puts up this season, especially after this game.
