My God how the years have flown....so many of those original Canucks of 1970 are no longer with us. That was a great year. Any time you join the NHL for the first time, it's a great year for a Canadian city.

Andre Boudrias was a key cog in that Canuck team of expansion castoffs who took the league by storm in the first few months of the season before the injuries and lack of depth took its toll. Another great Canuck legend will be sadly missed.

Only member of the original Canucks to be there when they made the playoffs for the first time in 1974-75.

Also led the team in scoring four of the first five seasons, missing the last one by a single point.

Very sad news.

Should be in the ring of honour, along with Phil Maloney. It’s a shame the way the pre-1980 history of this team has been whitewashed to be Orland Kurtenbach and nothing else. And Kurtenbach is nowhere near as deserving of ring of honour-ness as Boudrias is.

I could've sworn there was a FULL video of one of those games we had in that playoff series against that immortal Hab dynasty in the mid-70s (the aformentioned 'MS' Phil Maloney days) on youtube. I'll see if I can find it later.

One of those guys is in the HHOF as the best defensive forward ever.

It’s incredible how the game has evolved. A BCHL game in 2019 blows the NHL in 1975 away.
