Proposal: Anderson for Stone

How do both fan bases feel about this proposal. I feel like we need to shore up our goaltending with a 2 steady vets this year.

Micheal Stone and David Rittich for Craig Anderson and a 2020 4th rd pick.

This trade allows some flexibility bringing our young d men into the show and gives a veteran goalie to share the net with Smith this year and next year would be our main starter.

I guess I'd do this from the Flames side. Not sure Ottawa does it other than to try and get Mark to re-sign with the team, which might make it worth it.

Don't really think either team does this. We don't need a 37 year old in net when we already have a 36 year old, and I don't think Ottawa is willing to give up their starter. Also, I don't want Anderson because he refused to sign for us when we drafted him so he can enjoy the hell hole he is in...

I'm a Leaf fan but imagine that Ottawa passes on this, I don't think they want to sell off before the season begins, Dorion could look bad if he essentially takes....for Colorado's benefit.

Flames don't need a 36 year old goal (Smith) AND a 37 year old goalie (Anderson). This makes no sense from a Flames perspective.

While I'd love to move Andy's contract.....Flames can do a lot better. There are tons of competent goalies out there who are younger and cheaper.
