:amazed: what is going on tonight. Maybe the better question is what will be going on July 1st. Jeeze, was this necessary? I guess we'll find out.

Not a fan of this, but I guess the young core is taking over and we don't have room for guys like Thompson.

So does this mean Paquette is our 4th line center?
Yes, but not sure he's ready. He hit everything that moved in the playoffs but his defensive game still needs work imo

Not a lot of forward vets now. Just Stammer, Cally, and Flip. That's really weird.

Just how frikkin expensive is the guy we're targeting?
Yeah, so much for "we're not going to act out of desperation." Did we really need that much more money? Are we estimating we're going to be that close to the cap ceiling?

We're now in the market for a forward, I would think.

I don't even think it's necessarily going to be a UFA. This rush of moves happening all at once... at this time of night...

I really dislike this trade. You have to keep some veteran leadership on the team to mix in with the youngsters. Plus, Tommy Gun is very fast and solid defensively.

I understand the move, particularly if we do have our eye on player(s), but this just made my very happy night turn into a bittersweet one. I love players like Thompson.

We have more than just Paquette to replace him with though. Wouldn't be shocking if Cooper put in a good word for Mike Angelidis.

I'd say we're 100% in the market for a forward though.
