I can live with Kesler and Rakell being tried, but with Cogs? No, just no.

Maybe it was hoped that Rakell would do something with the extra space. Ask Cogs to take on a different role while half the regular forwards are out, he scores the game winner on a power play. Ask Rakell to adapt a tiny bit with half the forward group is out, he shrinks even faster into a corncob.

while its nice that our record is good and the kings and sharks aren't doing very well, the first 15-20 games to me are always just a feeling out process.
I put way more emphasis on where we are at Christmas than now.
