You'd have to think after being publicly outed for showing up overweight, he'd lose some of it.

We'll see, but glad we're not wasting a dime on him in press boxes anymore.

since we're waiving him, that means he's going to SD, for at least a little while right? Would we have had to waive him if we wanted him on big club?

Either way, I'm fine with it with Holzer's injury. Ideally he goes down, plays well, and then he or Welinski replace Sustr. Schenn has been fine as a #6. Struggles with quicker teams, but honestly he's been much better than I expected. He's basically what Bieksa should have been last year. Sustr has too much Bieksa in him, meaning he plays like he's Orr and jumps up in the play way too often. I actually really like Schenn in the 6/7 role.

I get the idea that he's a low risk gamble with a little upside, but BM typically doesn't waste much time on out of shape or unmotivated players, it's surprising to see him on this side of things taking one on.
