The Timbers were already down to 5 field players on the bench Saturday night. Our ref left both keepers limping and otherwise there was kind of a body count.
Of course, part of the fault for the Timbers situation lies with the front office, probably limited by the owner who is choosy on when to spend. But these refs don’t help.
MLS is kind of doubling down on their sense of denial that they can refrain from spending for an acceptable product. Funny thing is the newer owners that put the rest of them to shame.
