2003 seemed like an excellent draft for american talent with Suter, Brown, Parise, Stuart, Eaves all going in the first round and progressing excellently. Will this years draft be anywhere near as strong for american talent?

I think everyone knows that Schremp is american, but who else is? I know one of the top d-men is...is it Thelen? If anyone has a link or a list of the 1st/2nd round talent for this year, i'd appreciate it.

Duff88,

How do you not have Kevin Porter from the US-18 team on your list of "other good american players available"? This kid is so underrated its ridiculous. Porter was the alternate captain on the US18 silver medal winning team and arguably its best all around player. I can't see how this kid won't go on the first day and I wouldn't be surprised if he goes in the late second round.

Sorry, I forgot some players in the list, Porter being one of them. This was just by memory, I tried to put as much names as I could.

Good list, but David Brown's Canadian.

Blake Wheeler is going to be a good one. Someone is going to end up with a hellof a player in the 2nd round if he doesnt go late 1st.

Hensick and Birnstill have also decided not to Opt-In.

Another player I would add to the "underrated list": Alex Goligoski

Let's not say they haven't opted in until CSS confirms so (OK Hensick is a sure thing...). The asterisks seen on the recent CSS rankings referred to not having opted in YET!
The deadline is still an hour away (as I write).
