McShane is a top-6 player in the making of he gets faster. Insane that he fell so low.

Report:
Shifty skater with a decent first step who sees the ice extremely well and can be counted on to
set up multiple high-quality scoring chances a game. McShane is a versatile center that can play the role of sniper
or set-up guy, making him extremely dangerous and unpredictable on the power play. He’s also very good on
draws, winning close to 52%. A pass-first pivot who was Oshawa’s most reliable set-up man for most of the
season, McShane is a battler who can pass the puck with pinpoint accuracy. He knows how to incorporate all his
teammates into the attack, but he keeps you honest with a tricky shot that snipes the corners. McShane is a low-
maintenance player who knows how to create time and space regardless of how tight or physical a game is. He is
an excellent playmaker and gives a solid effort in all three zones, especially in board battles in the offensive zone.
He and Serron Noel combined to make a lot of money together, and at times that second line carried Oshawa for
most of the first half of the season. McShane has no problem digging in and jostling with bigger defenders.

How to potentially fix your biggest organizational need in one draft, hopefully in the upcoming drafts we also get prospect depth at other positions.
People forgetting last years draft as well, thats what really got this new and improved prospect pool going

cough, Poehling, cough.. that added to the new center depth is no longer a joke

I saw a lot of weakness in this player. I thought that someone would picked him for his offensive side before. I realy dont know where we can go further with him but if he can fix all his stinky weakness, we could get something realy good. I saw a long project in him

He's a lot like Hudon.

Big fan of his hands, but especially his IQ. You can't really teach the smarts that he has.

But, his skating mechanics need an overhaul. That's what will keep him from being a pro.

Id say Fonstad is more Hudon. McShane is a blend of Lekh and Hudon. Theres some grind in him.
