Dale Rolfe says hi. Underrated d-man.

If you think of Rolfe from those powerful Emile Francis Ranger teams up to the mid-70's, I would agree with you.

That being said, when JKC bought the entire Springfield Indians from Eddie Shore, the biggest expectations for the Kings was White and Rolfe. White did just fine; Rolfe didn't and was considered a big disappointment. Red Kelly even had Rolfe play some games at LW and even sent Rolfe back down to Springfield for a handful of games. It looks like Rolfe wasn't able to take the next step and find consistency at the NHL level until the Rangers. I thought he and Brad Park were a fine defensive pair. Kudos to Emile Francis for getting Rolfe to play up to his potential.

I recommend adding, on defense, one of Bob Wall, Larry Cahan, and Bob Pulford. Though they don't score highly in terms of the longevity criterion, they were the first three captains in franchise history. I personally would give preference toward Pulford.

I could be wrong, but I don't ever remember Pully as a d-man,
