So what happened here?.......Did they flip flop their selections?.........I don't understand.
JDB3939 had the 2nd last pick in round 17 and the 2nd pick in round 18. His pick in round 17 was skipped, so BM67 selected twice, with the last pick in round 17 and the first pick in round 18. After this JDB3939 was up with his pick in round 18, but still had his round 17 pick, in effect giving him two consecutive picks.

Herby has had about 36 hours to make his pick.

Monkey you can take your pick anytime.
I PM'd Herby and monkey this morning to tell them they're both up. It's just a wait until one of them comes online now.

Montreal selects their 3rd and final British born player. This was a tough choice between two Scottish goalies, one of whom captained Chicago to the Stanley Cup and is in the Hall of Fame, the other however is my choice.

From Greenock in Scotland, the greatest British goalie ever:

Foster.gif

Now I'm sure most of you have never heard of him, so here's a brief pen portrait of him and his achievements (Sorry if it's patchy, but I'm writing it mostly from memory):

Foster, nicknamed The Parson, was born in 1905. His family moved to Winnipeg where he grew up and learnt hockey. He played hockey for the University of Manitoba and upon graduation joined the Moncton Hawks in 1932. As with many players at the time Foster played amatuer hockey and worked, part-time in the season and full-time in the off-season, which gave him more money than a full-time NHL'er.

In 1932 the 5'8" 157lb Foster became the first goalie to record back-to-back shut-outs in the Allen Cup, in fact he went 417 minutes without conceding a goal. In 1933 and 1934 Foster led Moncton to consecutive Allen Cup wins. Foster missed only 1 game in 220 while at Moncton. However his greatest moment was still to come.

In 1935 Foster returned to the United Kingdom when he signed to gaurd the nets of the Richmond Hawks, who he led to joint top of the English league in points, although the Wembley Lions won the league on the first tie-breaker. Foster was named an A-Team All-Star. He continued to dominate and become the undisputed best goalie in Britain the following season when he joined the Haringey Greyhounds, who he back-stopped to the League and London Cup in 1939. During his time in Britain he recorded 24 shut-outs.

However it was for his performance at the international level that Foster will always be most famous for. In 1936 Foster lead GB to the Triple Crown of the World Championship, European Championship and Olympic Gold, conceding only 3 goals and keeping 4 shut-outs in Nazi Germany. Foster also led GB to the European Championships in 1937 and 1938, the last such Championships for some years. Foster appeared in 31 World Championship games for GB, registering 16 shut-outs.

Foster returned to Canada in 1940 and finished his career with the Quebec Aces after also playing for the Glace Bay Miners.

Foster was elected to the British Hockey Hall of Fame in 1950.

The Colorado Rockies select in the 17th round from Weyburn, Saskatchewan, Dave "Tiger" Williams.

Williams is the all-time penalty leader with 3,966 PIM. Not only could Tiger throw punches, but he's also been to the All-Star game the year he scored a career-high 35 goals, and scored 20 goals 4 other seasons (well, okay, two of those were 19, but close enough). Williams has amassed over 500 points.

For fear that Oiler94 might be eyeing this man as his next selection, the Boston Bruins will now make their selection. This player was one of the most intimidating players of his era and one of the absolute best enforcers to ever play. Believing that the Bruins could use some top notch grit and intimidation on the fourth line, the Bruins select the legendary:
