JDB3939 had the 2nd last pick in round 17 and the 2nd pick in round 18. His pick in round 17 was skipped, so BM67 selected twice, with the last pick in round 17 and the first pick in round 18. Montreal selects their 3rd and final British born player. This was a tough choice between two Scottish goalies, one of whom captained Chicago to the Stanley Cup and is in the Hall of Fame, the other however is my choice.

In 1933 and 1934 Foster led Moncton to consecutive Allen Cup wins. Foster missed only 1 game in 220 while at Moncton. However his greatest moment was still to come.
In 1935 Foster returned to the United Kingdom when he signed to gaurd the nets of the Richmond Hawks, who he led to joint top of the English league in points, although the Wembley Lions won the league on the first tie-breaker. Foster was named an A-Team All-Star. He continued to dominate and become the undisputed best goalie in Britain the following season when he joined the Haringey Greyhounds, who he back-stopped to the League and London Cup in 1939. During his time in Britain he recorded 24 shut-outs.
However it was for his performance at the international level that Foster will always be most famous for. In 1936 Foster lead GB to the Triple Crown of the World Championship, European Championship and Olympic Gold, conceding only 3 goals and keeping 4 shut-outs in Nazi Germany. Foster also led GB to the European Championships in 1937 and 1938, the last such Championships for some years. Foster appeared in 31 World Championship games for GB, registering 16 shut-outs.
Foster returned to Canada in 1940 and finished his career with the Quebec Aces after also playing for the Glace Bay Miners.
Foster was elected to the British Hockey Hall of Fame in 1950.
