Going back to last threads idea of returning to Foegele-Dunn:

I feel like Dunn is a piece Francis plans to build around. Only 24, RFA Francis can lock up for a while like he did Slavin or Pesce if he wants. I doubt Foegele will be enough.

Are there any legit rumors out there of teams shopping goalies? I've seen Gibson mentioned, is Anaheim activity trying to trade him? Holtby?

I like Ullmark as well if there isn't a trade for a legit no. 1 available.

I too like Ulmark.

But unless Don gives no f***s about his perceived trustworthiness, he did say he was looking for someone more experienced. Ulmark doesn’t fit that description.

I count 117 NHL games and 0 playoff games. I mean, yes, that is technically more experienced, but it's less than 2 seasons of starter play.

I guess he'd be an ok choice as a #2 or maybe a #1b, but he's no clear "veteran upgrade" over Ned.

I’d totally be down with Ullmark. Probably be my second choice after Gibson. Kuemper has too many injury concerns for me.

Don't really need to see Mrazek back personally. I’d be pretty happy with Ullmark and Bernier if we could somehow get that done.

For me it’s that, plus all the guys they might be looking at are just as unproven in “winning team” and playoff situations.

I mean he was more than rocky in 19-20 in his NHL show time. Im sure there a reason they treated him with kiddie gloves.

he had one good year for stats in the AHL and he had a really good team in front of him. He was inconsistent every other year and didn’t put up great numbers the other 3 seasons.

If Ned was going to be a serious contender for us in the net, he would have put up a stronger 19-20 in the AHL after a good 18-19. He regressed and the management team expects him to do it again

I didn’t see that. I looked before I posted and the articles I saw said they were still looking at that. Cap Friendly still shows him as being on the roster and not bought out
