Today was about Canadian tennis fans remembering that teenagers may need a bit of time before they conquer the world.
Pretty straightforward for Federer. Not too surprising.
Onto the clay season.
Wait what? There's two finals to be played this weekend, one of which involves Federer going for his 101st title.
Roger is 5-2 against John, which seems a surprisingly low number of meetings to me.I hope he destroys Isner
It's a good point but I wrote something similar when he was 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36. Today, if fact all week after that weird first set against Albot in the first round, he has seemed ageless.Third consecutive final for Roger and he looks to be in flowing form today. Appreciating his brilliance right now 'cause at 37 who knows how many more times we'll get to experience this.

Milos 15
Denis 20
Felix 33
WOW!!!!!
Also, Felix has a wildcard for Madrid.
I find it infinitely weird how tennis has such a lag for entry requirements, that players need to rely on wildcards in these situations.
Madrid is a month away, and Felix is a top 40 player right now and could easily be top 30 or higher by the time the tournament rolls around.
You'd think they'd want to have the system automatically ensure that the talent that's been playing well recently getting access to tournaments if their rankings are there.
Just offhand, can anybody remember as easier Federer victory than Miami? Pretty damn impressive at 37.
