What part of the logistics do you think would hold it up?

The biggest would be increase in games. The other would be if you give first round home games to the higher seeds. You might get some games being played up north in the cold. The Big Ten doesn’t do prime time night games starting in November.

I also think if you’re handing out automatic bids what if a team that isn’t even close to being a top 8 team grabs one? It didn’t happen but that scenario existed this year with Nortwestern & Pitt in conference championship games with 4-5 losses. The same applies to the G5 what if there isn’t a UCF scenario?

But perhaps all these kids sitting out bowls this year is a very concerning trend to them. I don’t blame the players but the flip coin of it is that these trips are expensive for fans & that incentive to go is dwindling with each year passing it seems.

I like it zero respect for UCF.

Also as a heads up for everybody else the championship game winner is just a pick em, If you get it right 20 points and 0 points if wrong just because the matchup isn't officially set.

Looks like an 8 team playoff could be coming. I don’t know how they’re going to make the logistics work. I think that would more so be the hurdle if anything.
First round 2 weeks after the conference championships with the higher seed hosting the opening round.

For the rest of the bowl games, we are just getting a point if we pick the right winner, right? The confidence numbers don't effect anything?

The confidence numbers matter because if you pick wrong you lose that amount of points.

I.E. LSU vs UCF If you pick LSU 7 and UCF wins you lose 7 points but if LSU wins you win 7 points.

That's why pick em games you may want to scale back on how much you bet and bet big on games where you're confident like "Mizzou 10"

OK I get it now. Should we predict who we think will be in the Final now, and pick a winner?

If you pick both the CFP Final teams correctly you get 20 points and if you pick the winner you get 20 points even if you got the matchup wrong.

I.E. You pick a final of Clemson vs Alabama with Clemson winning but it turns out that it's Clemson vs Oklahoma and Clemson wins you still get 20 points for picking Clemson to win but not the 20 points for picking the correct final.

Greg Schiano, Butch Jones, & Josh Gattis are apparently candidates for the Temple job.

It sounds like Schiano is done at Ohio State regardless.
Really like to see Temple shoot a little higher, but hey maybe Schiano can do for Temple what he did for Rutgers.
I have absolutely zero interest in Schiano and I hope it doesn't come down to him.
temple should have gone in and built that stadium. they will never get a name guy as a coach until they show they aren't cheapskates.
We desperately want to build the stadium, this has nothing to do with the University being cheapskates. If it was up to them, the stadium would already be being built right now. Last April I heard it was "going to happen, its when, not if" from someone who would know, but that was supposed to be hush hush and that was obviously a while ago so things have changed. Now it's being put on hold apparently, which sucks.
One thing that hurts Temple is the location also. Like it or not if you go to Temple you will at some point hear gunshots while you're out at night.

I've been to parties at the campus a couple of times and don't make a wrong turn going home drunk.
Yeah, the area isn't the best, putting it lightly. You just can't be stupid about it, if someone is walking alone at 2am, they're a dumbass. Otherwise, Temple is a 10 minute subway ride from City Hall, so it does have the benefit of being in one of the biggest/best cities in the U.S. too.
For what it's worth, Temple is paying $3 million a year to rent the Linc. No doubt the lack of having their own stadium has hurt Temple. The proposed on-campus stadium ran into the inevitable political red tape with residents and some students opposing it. The last I checked, the proposal was put on hold last summer. I don't know, maybe Temple should try to find another location?

Back to the coaching search, former Temple and current Baylor AC Francis Brown reportedly interviewed today.
Yeah, this post is accurate. When the President of the University tried to have a sit down with the community to hear and discuss their concerns, he was met with shouting protestors who shut it down. I doubt the University has a ton of interest in building a stadium off campus based on what the Chairman of the Board has implied, but I guess that's an option.

Just wanted to see if you're strictly a Temple fan or a college football fan. I put together a bowl season pick em if you want in and just trying to drum up more participants.

If it’s not on campus or relatively close by I don’t see the point for Temple in building their own stadium. I guess owning it would be good but if you can’t get enough butts in the seats is it really worth it?
I'm pretty sure that was one of the problems with UAB. Don't underestimate an on campus stadium and what it can mean for support.

Hell Miami struggled big time when they moved to an off campus stadium.
