Let's focus on some positives to come out of this debacle.

On my end, working from home gave me an extra two hours a day for school and that was a gamechanger. I've been ordered to grow a beard, so we get to find out where that goes. I have time to exercise again. I've seen my daughter more. We've done culinary exploration. I have some time to read. Sure haven't spent much on gas, and we've developed far more efficient grocery habits. I've learned that despite @deadhead having mostly polar opposite hockey views from me, we largely agree on application of historic trends to modern events; remember all, we've all got something in common we can agree on here.

We have almost as many Rona threads as France has Louis'

I tried a CK2 game as Eastern Rome in 1066. I don't know why I thought that was a good idea. It's miraculous they survived out of the 7th century and they didn't have a single easy time from then until 1453. The game assessed the difficulty level as "very easy" which I found suspect.

Within three days of starting the game the Turks declared war on me and instantly had a 15,000 man army wading through Anatolia somehow, I don't even know how that can happen that fast. I could only muster 10,000 because all my vassals despised me and kept most of their men to revolt. Which they did after I lost 9,000 men in the first battle.

I resigned. Game length was under 10 minutes. Never doing that again. At least it's an accurate experience

Cold sandwich - honey maple ham every single time.

Hot sandwich - Roast beast au jus is a ball-tingler.

    A few important points here:

    1) Hot roast beef sandwiches >> hot ham sandwiches. Couple some beef with melted provolone and banana peppers and it's game over. Au jour or horseradish based sauce....doesn't matter. See also: Nick's

    2) I voted ham because I eat more cold sandwiches (hoagies etc) than hot ones. A hoagie or lunch meat sandwich MUST have pig. There is no other way. Salami, prosciutto, pepperoni....all of these are god tier lunch meat and they are, in simplest terms, types of ham. Considering this, I enjoy ham based sandwiches more often. Ham gets my vote.

I hope those aren't real because there is absolutely no reason a civilian should be walking around Raleigh with them.

Well the one in the bottom right is straight up carved out of wood and the limp dick in the top left is carrying the shell of a single shot rocket launcher.

You could do more damage to people with rocks. Not pictured is the fat f***o who ‘waved’ at a black family while toting around a huge pipe wrench.

Russia's daily numbers are now (distant) number 2 behind US figures
Btw the line "not close to peaking" below Russia is Brazil, the long flattened one below Brazil would be UK.

US yes (although I would say opening up with such significantly higher daily numbers compared to other countries is still risky). The ones I mentioned, Russia, Brazil, not so much. :)

    UK flattened after decrease

Here in Australia... Flu like symptoms. Went to the local hospital where they had a separate testing station. Got tested in 20 minutes and given extra masks and told to self-isolate until result.
Result came 25 hours later.. negative. Boss told me to take the next few days off anyway to get better.

@Cody Webster y u wish bad thingz on me?

I like this idea. I too, have exercised a lot more since this all hit. I figured since I dont have a commute, I can dedicate at least half an hour a day to doing something physical. I've lost 10 lbs in 2 months (not bad seeing as how my beer consumption has gone up most likely). I've also started being a little more active in the kitchen - albeit still second to the fiance in that department. I've gotten back in regular contact with friends who i used to not talk with all that often through Teams meetings, etc. My fiancee and I found out that after moving in with each other and 2 weeks later being told we were stuck with each other, that we just might be able to make this marriage thing work.

Similarly to you, I've realized that there are bad hockey opinions, and then there are just bad people. Confirmation that some are in one group and some are in the other has been helpful in determining who stays on ignore, who gets a longer leash, and who gets added to ignore. I've enjoyed the banter that we all have on here a lot more since we cant necessarily go and meet up with friends whenever we want. So i guess thank you to all you crazy f***s for helping makie this time a little easier by being a (generally) good group of people.

Oh and also, this whole thing has put HC and I's campaign basically on autopilot, so thats kinda awesome too.

Yeh... my personal life has been destroyed (and that is being over-dramatic, more like just put on hold)... but aside from that, some positives are:

Have not drank alcohol in 2 months now (aside from 3x ciders when I got a massive freelance project done).
Have ran at least 5km 5x a week every week for the last 8 weeks. My cardio is back to an acceptable level... now just have to put some muscle back on as I lost like 8lbs or so and I was not heavy to begin with.
Have been able to do at least 30 minutes of French a day. So improving... might even be back at/above the point I was at 16-17 years old after 5 years of studying French haha.
It has allowed me to really delve into the 2020 NHL draft. I only felt super comfortable on non-Russian Euros and the Euros in CHL before this... now feel like pretty good on entire CHL and Euros.

Annnnnd something I never thought would happen. I actually miss swimming. And I hate "organised" swimming and just lane-bashing. But just being able to go and swim for 40 minutes or so would be great. I won't take a pool for granted again... probably... though I guess in six months I will be back to cursing it and debating not going every time I should haha.

Had to go with roast beef, but my all time fave is lean, hot corned beef with melted Swiss and spicy mustard.

breakfast might be a little more interesting this morning

I took a break from CK2 to play Civ 5 the past few days, but when I was in CK2 the only thing I did was send gifts to Lustful courtiers, trying to have affairs.
