I was watching the cup finals between Calgary and Montreal back in 1989.
I could not believe how much hooking and holding and tripping was allowed back then ( had forgotten).
I was surprised that any team could score a goal!
That Flames team was loaded on dee with Ramage, McCrimmon, MacInnis , Dana Murzyn, Macoun and Suter.
Incredible team

I thought this was a combination of the late 70 Canadiens and early 80’s Islanders

regular season/playoff games played

Al McInnis 1416/355
McCrimmon 1222/116
Gary Suter 1145/108
Macoun 1128/159
Ramage 1044/84
Murzyn 838/84

ridiculous

McCrimmon was so underrated.

In retrospect, one of Sinden's worst trades.

Courtnall goalie moves it’s a long pile.

But he was good for a Danny Ainge pantzing every 2 years that kept his stock up.

I miss the days players we’re traded so freely. Good for us tho it doesn’t happen I bet we get humiliated on DK and Marchand returns.

He got Peeters but in hindsight yes in more ways than one

has their ever been 2 defenseman picked in one round by one team that were as good as these two

McCrimmom was not a HOF but he was not far off - everything you want in a defenseman

everything was there back at that time - Pederson, Bourque, Secord, McCrimmon, Leveille, Fergus, Kasper, Kluzak, Courtnall in drafts for a monster power house but bad luck and terrible trades did them in

Bruins vs Canadiens tonight!!!

Continuing with Goalie Week, Byron Dafoe between the pipes.

Wow do Tom Caron & Dale Arnold look young. And Gord Kluzak has a full head of hair!!!!

Leveille a tragedy. Kluzak knee. Pederson shoulder tumor.

At least damaged Pederson got them Neely and Wesley.

I'm uploading one classic game a day until I run out so if you missed any of these recent ones you can probably find it there.

The game the other night was from 4/5/99.

Do you have the game in November of 1998 against WSH??
The brawl game. I can find highlights scattered on youtube, but nobody seems to have the full game with overtime goal.

Bruins vs Canadiens again, 1992

Andy Moog is in goal for the Bruins tonight.

My first favorite #11 Bobby Carpenter and #27 Steve Leach playing for the Bruins
