just thought I'd highlight that.

If he is the only Bolt on your roster, first, shame on you. Second, Purcell is maybe the laziest Bolt, but more intense than anyone else on your team because of the aforementioned. You can only hope that Purcell's intensity rubs off on the rest of your team via transitive properties.

i don't follow the bolts so i don't know too much about them except for the main players, i also have vinny on my team. the bold part is what scares me the most about purcell, so few hits and blocked shots, he seems like he stays away from the physical part of the game, doesn't really play defense, and doesn't travel towards the front of the net. is he more of a playmaker only trying to set up stammer?

Personally, I would pick up Hejduk since he gets 1st line minutes. He'll also produce more goals, sog and PPP. Purcell plays with Stammer on the 2nd line but he's very inconsistent and plays on the 2nd PP. +/- don't seem to be good for Tampa as a whole (same with COL however) and Purcell won't provide anything in PIMs. If sg is shootout goals, then Tampa also isn't good in shootouts nor does Teddy go that often. If you're looking for bs and hits, I'd go with Oshie. Order should be 1) Hejduk 2) Purcell and 3) Oshie imo.

Also, it all depends on what your team is short in, but Hejduk is the best across the most categories of all 3 (Goals, PPP, SOG).

sg is shorthanded goals. i actually had hejduk initially but i dropped him for purcell b/c he starts so slowly and b/c i have statsny and landeskog. this is my first year playing fantasy and i autodrafted too many players on the same teams. just trying to figure out what to do. thanks for the input.

Lehtonen or Hiller in a keeper h2h league? Both goalies have been offered to me for the exact same package going the other way (Vokoun and Pietrangelo).

I'd probably just keep that package. Pietrangelo is just 21 years of age but is already a stellar #1 defenseman in this league and Vokoun, while already 35 years old, still has gas in the tank, is currently playing for a top regular season team, is putting up very solid numbers and is signed for just $1.5 million.

Thanks for the reply. I countered with Pietrangelo and Khabibulin for Hiller/Lehtonen and the guy offering Hiller accepted. The way I see it is that Bulin's numbers will drop back to reality and now's a good time to sell high and buy Hiller low.

Hey Lightning fans, just had a couple of questions. I have 4 lightning players on my keeper league team (vinny, st louis, downie, and hedman) and was curious about a few things...

What happened to the Downie-Stamkos-St. Louis line? Or more importantly, why did they split up Stamkos and St. Louis? It just seemed like all three players were producing more when that line was together.

Also...what should I expect from Hedman in the future? Does he have the potential to be a PP quarterback down the road and put up maybe 40-50 points...or is he going to be mostly a shutdown guy?

Thanks in advance!

Stamkos and St.Louis weren't producing much at even strength. Spreading out the two of them brings more balance to the top 6 and Stamkos has been lighting it up without Marty. They still play together on the PP and Stamkos-Lecavalier-St.Louis play together when an even strength goal is really needed. The Downie-Stamkos-St.Louis line were not producing anything this year and looked out of sync so Boucher decided to split them up. They could definitely become a line combination again in the future though.

Hedman has offensive ability but has been asked to continue to focus on defensive responsibilities in the meantime. He currently gets almost 0 pp time, so you can't expect him to produce too much offensively. Going forward, I can see Hedman being a consistent 30-40 point guy, with maybe a couple 40+ point seasons. For now, he'll continue to be used as a shutdown guy.

IIRC it's either him or Clark on the 1st unit right now.

Last night's PP TOI:
Clark 2:49
MAB 2:44
Kubina 1:47
Brewer 0:56
Hedman 0:00
Gervais 0:00

Was offered Phaneuf and Carter/Versteeg for Edler in my H2H league that has categories of goals, assists, +/-, ppp, shp, sog, hits and blocks for players. I'm short on goals, shp and blocks right now and Edler is only better in +/- and points but our league also has the stipulation that if a team makes it to the real playoffs, those roster players on your team are automatically carried over into your roster for the separate playoff pool, where you'll need 7 forwards, 3 defensemen and 2 goalies. Right now, I have P.Kane, Kunitz, Whitney, Erat, Clowe, Girardi, Edler, Bieksa (Carlson or McDonagh could replace Edler) that would all be in the playoffs if the season ended today. Playoff scoring is 1 point for a goal or an assist.

Should I make the trade? If yes, should I take Versteeg or Carter?

Hey everyone! I'm Tampa in a GM game a need some help. How would you rank the following players for next season only (no potential):

Tyrell, Pyatt, Thompson, Hal, Wyman, Crombeen

AND

Carle, Brewer, Hedman, Ohlund, Salo, Aulie, Mikkelson, MAB

Rank them how? Point production? Likeliness to be a regular in the lineup?

Thompson and Hall are our PK specialists. Also, coach Boucher gave Thompson the nickname "Textbook Thompson" and his teammates call him "Nate Boucher" as Boucher described him as the player who instantly got him and did what he wanted the players to do. He'll be a lock as our #4 center and will get occasional time on the upper lines, too. Hall is good at faceoffs and on the PK but he's had injuries and isn't getting younger. Guys like Tyrell or Wyman are younger and faster than him and could fill his spot. Pyatt got some time on the 2nd and 3rd line last season when Lecavalier, Malone and St. Louis went down with injuries and Moore and Downie were traded for draft picks but he should be a regular on the 4th and maybe 3rd line. Crombeen is also solid on the PK and brings in a much needed physical component. I'd be surprised if he would end up in the press box more often than on the ice. We also acquired Kyle Wilson from Nashville in the Lindback trade, who is on a one-way contract.

TL;DR: Thompson and Pyatt will be in the lineup 100 per cent. Hall, Wyman and Tyrell all fit the same mold more or less: Grinders, solid defensively who are welcome to score a little more. Hall has the edge in the faceoff circle, though. Crombeen adds toughness so my guess is he will be a regular on the 3rd or 4th line. I don't know enough about Wilson but I'm sure he was added in the deal for reason (and not just so Nashville could dump another contract).

As for the defensemen:
I think Brewer will focus more on the defensive side of the game now (no more PP time) while Carle will be our go-to guy offensively. Hedman and Salo will be the complementary two-way defensemen as both are capable to play solid defensively and offensively. Mikkelson and Lee are expected to form our bottom pairing, not more not less. MAB is pretty much expendable now with the additions of Carle and Salo who are solid offensively but much more reliable defensively. Aulie would have to pass through waivers so he'll probably stay with the team as the #7 or even #8 defenseman. As for Ohlund: It's still not clear if he will ever be able to play again (he hasn't skated for a long time now).

Thanks LightningStrikes! Very useful stuff. I am just now familiar enough with your bottom six to do a fair job of managing the team, but that helps. Game is going well so far, think I'm making you guys better! I picked up Rinne! :handclap:

Hey guys, wasn't sure where to post this but here I go.

I'm in a first year fantasy keeper league and I need a winger. Would Brett Connoly be a good choice? Goals are scored very highly so I've been looking long and hard at Brett. Will he be in the top 6? Who will he play with? Will he do well this year? Next year? Short term? Long term?

Any info helps! Thanks guys!

Fantasy question about Conacher. Who does he play with, I have St. Louis on my team and would love a good combo. I currently have Jonathan Huberdeau in my final forward spot and he would be the one I would be replacing with Conacher. My league is single year total pts. Which do you you see having the better season? Thanks in advance.

Conacher has been playing with Lecavalier for the most part, but seeing some time with MSL and Stammer as well.

Either Lecavalier or Stammer will be his centre all season.

Conacher will see PP time on top of this, Conacher will probably have a better season, just my opinion.
