speaking if Finns,....Puljujarvi seems to have found a groove back home. Change of scenery?

I question his ability to transfer his game to smaller ice, but I mean for cheap why not?
What's the harm.

Isn't he playing on hybrid ice now? Is it that big of an adjustment in terms of ice-size? Were talking just 7-9 feet wider.

Sure can for Edmonton. They can do a lot better than a guy who will need to clear waivers next October.

Sure or he could just step into their lineup now and play there for the next 10-12 years. He should be skating a regular shift in the NHL somewhere already, but won't happen in Boston with the Bs depth

He has a strong bandy background where they play on a very large rink.
It's developed some bad habits into his skating which become more clear the smaller ice/quicker paced game he plays.

Maybe, hopefully he matures out of it fully, if so he's at least a 6'4 fast top9 Rw

If someone develops him well top6.

Not a rumor and the Flu has been going around, but Kase name has also been floated about in trade rumors and this time of year you never really know.

Pretty impressive regression from JGP.

Also of note:

Karson Kuhlman 9 GP 11:12 EV TOI/GM - 83.3%
Par Lindholm 10 GP 9:47 - 75.0%
Danton Heinen 12 GP 11:12 - 70.0%

Those are the top results on the Bruins from what I'm seeing since Jan 1, all < 11:30, with Coyle & Bjork just behind.

My results are not entirely matching what you're showing, although similar, not sure why. (Add - got it, makes sense, I bet score & venue adj explains the rest.)

I was looking at naturalstattrick and using 5v5 (your link is EV). Also I may have used 5v5 Score & Venue Adjusted numbers. I was looking at both, can't remember which I pulled from. I'm sure the overall rankings are fairly close, though.

  22. Marcus Johansson - 25.87
  23. J.G. Pageau - 14.92
So, based on each player's xGF% - from the bottom half of the list, I'd be wary of Marleau, Toffoli and Simmonds who have been "lucky." Also from the bottom half of the list, I'd expect better results and most take a chance on Rakell and Kase who have been "unlucky."

The "luckiest" from the top half, which could be a red flag are: Palmieri, Hoffman and Wood.

I think my short list would be:
Kreider, Kovalchuk, Palmieri, Silfverberg, Rakell, Kase, Toffoli, Wood

Granted this is based on a small (~15 game) sample size. Add in the acquisition cost and cap/term and it obviously becomes much more complicated.

You shouldn't believe this narrative.

I refuse to believe the guy whose, by my estimation 12th on the B's depth chart, would be a #6 on some other teams.
