I feel like trading a roster player for a roster player is a bad move for us. We need to add, ideally replacing Kuhlman with a productive guy, like Kase or Palmieri. Doing that and losing Heinen doesn’t accomplish as much. At least in my opinion
I like Kuhlman right now more than Heinen, Heinen is the most expendable asset on this team with John Moore. Overpaid for what he is, passive and easily replaceable. I don't know what he gets you in return, I really can't see it being much.

Moving him and Moore opens up more than 5.5m in cap space, that is a valuable as anything he contributes when you have Kuhlman, Nordstrom, Studnicka, Frederic and Lindholm who can't take his spot.

man Heinen is loathed on these boards. Poor kid. While I certainly agree for the right piece he is expendable, I can guarantee you that Sweeney and the organization does not view him level with the players you listed here.

Some here just want Heinen gone, but I think most simply consider him and Moore as more valuable as trade chips than Bruin roster players

I like Heinen but long term where are you playing him? I think even starting next year you could see

how dare you, Lou? You're just demanding a trade for the sake of a trade and clearly you just hate Heinen.

seriously, though, I think Senyshyn ought to be in the lineup to start the season too.

There’s always a whipping boy when it comes to this team and Heinen is the guy.

I myself don’t have an issue with him, but he and Moore are trade chips in my eyes. I just don’t see either player as a long term solution and that’s ok, doesn’t mean they suck, just means that they are expendable and if you can find a deal that makes you better with them included you do it.

That being said if they remain with the roster past the deadline that’s ok too. From a business and “cap needed to make a move” standpoint they are the are the guys that make the most sense.
