This is completely on whoever let this woman judge this fight. Nothing new, I saw this tweet earlier this week. I believed what this guy was saying, just didn't actually contemplate that it would mean anything. Boxing has too much of this. There are too many Adalaide Byrd's in the history of the sport.

It really makes you lose even more faith in the sport when you see ****ery like this. Feel bad for GGG...

A draw doesn't blemish his record.

Can't really ask for much more than he did. He put in a better performance than any of his recent fights, he should be happy with how he performed. He can't control the scorecards.

He doesnt deserve the draw. Anyone with two working eyes could see that. This is clearly a way to set up a rematch. While the fight was amazing, they always find ways to screw it up in the end. The corruption needs to end, that is what the major problem is here.

I think the person who had it as a draw probably was a Canelo fan or might've got some money under the table. I hard it 9-3, could definitely understand 8-4 or 7-5, so I could understand how someone who is trying to give Canelo the fight could deem it a draw, but 10-2 Canelo should have the fight overturned. If Boxing wants to not be extinct in a few years, you can't allow this result to stand. The fight of the last five years, and someone rigged it.

That is what pisses me off the most, followed by the draw. Canelo is a hell of a fighter, and but no way did he win 10 rounds. At most, he won 5.

I don't understand the people that say it was a good fight, so the result doesn't matter.

No, this was the most important fight in the sport's history. I am serious. Boxing is going down the drain, its slowly declining. This was the fight between the two biggest names in the business, probably the two best names in the business. Who won didn't matter, but your showcase can not be someone corrupting the outcome. It just can't. I don't think boxing will ever recover from this.

I don't disagree with your overarching point but I think the bolded statements are probably bordering on just a little bit of hyperbole.

What?

Fine, but I think this will be known as the fight that broke boxing, so thats my justification.

This fight ain't breaking ****.

Can't believe Canelo scored that high on Byrd's card. Also, I dunno if I should be disappointed in Canelo as a fighter or more amazed by GGG. What a fighter.

It's on Oscar De La Hoya. Don't try to convince me that he had nothing to do with bringing her on with her record.

This doesn't even rate as an injustice compared to some of the stuff I've seen in this sport. Life will go on. If Holyfield-Lewis didn't kill this sport then nothing will.

But I had Golovkin winning 116-112.

I could be wrong, but I believe it's the boxing commission that gets to appoint the ref and judges.

Vegas wants to be greedy and double dip. And more people will watch the rematch, or at the very least a negligible drop. So that's the funny thing about all this stuff.

Nope, Canelo is. He makes the money. The problem is that state employees should not be allowed to judge fighters that bring massive revenue to their state.

But the next fight could be in AC, NY or hell, even outside of the US...

Anyway, I'ma throw some fuel on this fire and add that Canelo got a draw from a judge in his fight with Mayweather - which was co-promoted by De La Hoya!!!11112324243567

The talent back then was so much better than now. These decisions now are a bigger hit to boxing than they were back then.

The decisions might be a bigger hit to boxing now (although I am still very unsure of this), but the talent back then was better for reasons related to something you inject into your body with needles. So many people got caught too. There was an incident in Indiana for a Roy Jones Jr. fight where they caught him on steroids and swept it straight under the rug because the other guy was on them too.

The thing most indicative of corruption entering this fight is that a state employee sent everybody who bet on this fight home a loser. The casino takes home all the bets.

I mean come on.
